I attended the Buteyko clinic in early October 2010. I had a terrible chest infection resulting in shortness of breath and incessant coughing which lasted for seven months.   I later went to the Respiratory clinic at Greenlane Hospital, where after two Bronchoscopies and other tests I was diagnosed with COPD.  I was put on Flixotide, Ventolin and Spivira. Despite the medication I felt my condition was not well controlled.

Feeling rather depressed about the diagnosis I went back to the Buteyko clinic for a second session with Glenn and was given support and assistance.  I now feel that I can cope with this illness.  I have had no more chest infections this year, and have been able to discontinue the medications.

My breathing has improved and I feel that I can manage/cope with this problem.  I recently had a Spirometry test and was told by the Doctor at the Respiratory Centre that the readings were excellent and she was discharging me from the Hospital.  Many thanks to Glenn for his patience and Buteyko.
