Each episode features two patients who have tried to get well using a number of prescription drugs, over-the-counter medication and remedies.
When none of these works, they turn to Dr Frances Pitsilis and Dr Glenn Twentyman, two Auckland GPs who use integrated medication; natural and complementary medicines; and therapies which have a scientific basis to help treat the patient rather than mask their symptoms.
Right from the initial consultation, the audience sees a diagnosis and follows each patient on a path of discovery and the answer to their sickness nightmare. They'll visit specialists and talk to health experts, giving the viewer an unprecedented insight into holistic healing. Each case study offers fascinating medical facts as well as easy-to-understand information on common health conditions, treatments and medicines.
Two patients are referred to the Buteyko Clinic and you can follow their progress in Episode 3 (17th October), Episode 8 (28th November) and Episode 10 (12th December).
