Melting Faces

Nic and Glenn will present on the interconnecting relationship between breathing, open mouth posture and facial development, and why early intervention is the key to avoiding narrow dental arches, crooked teeth, narrow airway, obstructive sleep apnoea plus a wide range of breathing-related disorders.

Topics will include:
Treatments for snoring, obstructive sleep apnoea, insomnia, asthma, sinusitis, hay fever, allergies, chronic bronchitis, anxiety attacks, dental problems and other breathing disorders.

Dr Nicolas Anderson is the owner of Alpers Dental Group in Newmarket. Alpers offers a holistic perspective to dentistry and orthodontics. Early intervention is emphasised in dental and orthodontic treatments to maximise the benefits involved in correct facial growth. This is achieved by a range of procedures, from tongue tie releases in newborns, Buteyko Breath Correction classes, Myofunctional Therapy, Orthodontics and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. All these help to eliminate any respiratory issues which could lead to snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea.

Glenn White has been asthma, allergy and drug free since completing a Buteyko breathing programme in 2000. Glenn is a Buteyko breathing trainer/ practitioner trainer. Since 2001 he has taught this life-changing programme to over 5,000 people. His work has been featured in magazines, news and television. Glenn is committed to helping incorporate breathing re-training programmes into general practice to reduce the burden of breathing disorders like asthma and obstructive sleep apnoea in New Zealand.
