Our daughter’s nose was always blocked and she was diagnosed with enlarged adenoids. We were advised that surgery was the only option. However, a friend told us about the Buteyko programme and we decided to give it a try. Within days our daughter was able to breathe through her nose. This is something she hadn’t done for years. It is two months now since she did the course. Her adenoids have returned to their normal size and she now breathes through her nose most of the time, not all. We were thrilled that we had made the decision to enrol her on the programme. Now her nose is clear and surgery is no longer required. I hope that parents reading this will investigate this safe and less invasive option for their child.
