How severe is your asthma?

Asthma cartoon strip

  • Do you miss days off work or school because of your asthma?
  • Does asthma limit your ability to enjoy sporting activities?
  • Is your asthma worse at night and does it disrupt your sleep?
  • Have you had an attack severe enough to warrant a hospital visit in the last year?

If the answer yes to any of these questions then your asthma is not well managed and you are putting yourself at risk of a life-threatening attack.

You cannot afford to be complacent. With advances in the management of asthma no one should die from asthma. It is, however, important that you understand your condition: why you get asthma in the first place, what your triggers are and how to best manage your asthma.

The British Guideline on the Management of Asthma 2008 granted permission for British health professionals to recommend the Buteyko Method. No other complementary therapy has ever been endorsed by this strict body for the management of asthma.
