Asthma gene
Asthmatics are genetically predisposed to asthma by having:
- Stronger, thicker smooth muscle lining the airways i
- Five times as many mast cells as non-asthmatics ii
- More mucus-producing cells lining the airways iii
You can't change your genetics, but you can correct your breathing and this is the key to helping control your asthma.
